GE Expands Its Substation Automation Portfolio With Local Substation HMI & Substation Controller
GE is pleased to introduce two exciting new advancements in its Substation Automation solutions portfolio: PowerLink™ Connect and Multilin™ D20MX v1.5. PowerLink Connect is GE’s newest full-featured, web-enabled, local HMI system for Substation and Control Room Operations. PowerLink Connect enables real-time collection and display of electrical infrastructure information, secure operator supervisory control, and efficient management of energy delivery, all using standards-based communications.
The Multilin D20MX v1.5 extends substation connectivity with the ability to amalgamate data from substation devices via industry standard communications channels to execute local logic. The Multilin D20MX Substation Controller is designed to execute communications and energy management applications for the monitoring and control of electrical substations. The D20MX is backwards compatible with earlier D20 / D200 RTU chassis and installed accessories to enable compliance with NERC-CIP requirements while providing a cost-effective option for extending the life of aging D20/D200 systems.
