GE’s P40 Agile Platform (P14N, P14D & P99V) of distribution feeder protection relays have been enhanced to provide comprehensive protection, control and monitoring of electrical power systems. With this latest release (software version 61), the Agile P14N non-directional feeder, Agile P14D directional feeder, and Agile P99V voltage and frequency protection devices offer greater application flexibility, ensuring system reliability and stability.

Protection and control capabilities have been expanded to include Transient Earth Fault Detection (TEFD), enabling power system operators to discriminate between faulted and healthy feeders for greater system reliability. Virtual inputs have also been expanded (from 32 to 64), enabling additional substation control through a single device. Finally, these devices are now available in a new frame size (40TE – 9.5” wide) to support additional inputs / outputs and communications options including fault current information available through IEC 61850.

With these enhancements, GE continues to simplify device integration into new or existing substation networks.
