Net Connectivity Window The Net Connectivity Window is a Windows-based software application designed to monitor the connectivity status, RSSI, and traffic of the MDS iNET 900 and MDS eNET 900 mobile remotes. The iNET side of the application periodically polls a locally connected iNET remote to determine the RSSI level, as well as the state of association (associated, scanning, or connecting), where the eNET side of the application receives data from the remote without polling the remote. As stated above, the user is able to choose between monitoring the iNET remote, and the eNET remote. In both uses of the application, the connectivity status, RSSI, and traffic history are available to the user. It is also possible to log information about the remotes in a user specified log file. Before connecting to an iNET remote, the user has the option of enabling congestion management. Congestion Management allows for an Access Point to be blacklisted (removed) from the remote to allow for the remote to look for an Access Point that it can communicate better with. Upon connecting to an iNET remote, RSSI threshold will be displayed on the Signal Strength color bar. The user will also have the option of displaying the SNR for the iNET remote. NOTE: The NET Connectivity Window is the newest version of the iNET Monitoring Window with added eNET Monitoring functionality.
