MDS Intrepid and Intrepid Ultra – Point-to-Point 2.4, 5.4, 5.8 GHz Unlicensed and 4.9 GHz Licensed
The proliferation of IP devices and applications have resulted in a backhaul bottleneck where the channel size required to carry data efficiently exceeds the network's capacity. The MDS Intrepid combats this challenge by providing higher capacity (25 Mbps to 200 Mbps), reduced interference, Quality of Service (QoS) and simple deployment options. The Intrepid is a cost effective, scalable, reliable and hardened backhaul solution that operates in the 2.3-2.4 and 4.8-6.0 GHz bands. In addition, Intrepid shares bandwidth between TDM and IP traffic, allowing for a smooth TDM to IP migration.
MDS Intrepid HC MX and Intrepid HC OIP – Point-to-Point up to 38 GHz Licensed
GE’s MDS Intrepid HC products offer a long-distance, high capacity point-to-point licensed wireless backhaul solution ideal for industrial and commercial-grade applications. MDS Intrepid HC MX and Intrepid HC OIP provide highly secure, time sensitive and mission critical communications backhauled to a centralized location. Offered in the traditional FCC/ETSI microwave frequencies between 6 GHz and 38 GHz, these devices can be used globally in developed and developing countries.
MDS Intrepid P2MP – Point-to-Multipoint 5.4 and 5.8 GHz Unlicensed
The MDS Intrepid P2MP high capacity point-to-multipoint wireless backhaul solution is ideal for commercial-grade applications where longer distance and higher capacity at multiple sites is necessary. Intrepid P2MP provides highly secure, time sensitive and mission critical communications, and backhauls this information back to a central point. The MDS Intrepid P2MP supports Ethernet communications, extended range (up to 25 miles) and aggregate throughput of up to 50 Mbps per subscriber. MDS Intrepid P2MP also enables scalable solutions through sectored base station capabilities, 60, 90 and 120 degree sectors, with up to 32 subscribers and up to 200 Mbps aggregate throughput per sector.
