Environmental Management

Each of Grid Solutions’ manufacturing sites that have more than 200 employees are ISO 14001 certified. Furthermore, some of our facilities have obtained environmental certificates such as LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design), delivered by the United States Green Building Council. In China, our Wuhan site and Technical Center have been certified, and our manufacturing, research and development site in Sesto San Giovanni, Italy, was certified in 2015.

Brilliant Factory

The Brilliant Factory is a commitment by GE to use the latest technologies to consistently, and in real time, optimize operations. We collect more data with better sensors and control systems, and analyze the data using advanced software and analytics. This enables us to manage processes in real time, and maintain high quality and on-time delivery.

The Brilliant Factory is focused on manufacturing best-in-class products efficiently and reducing the business’ use of resources including energy and water, efforts that continue to reduce our environmental footprint.

Brilliant Factory goals:

  • Reduce lead-time by 25%
  • Improve productivity by 3%
  • Improve inventory turns by 1 turn
  • Improve revenue by increasing on-time delivery by 5%
