The state-of-the-art, 200,000 square foot center is designed to foster innovation and global collaboration to improve the efficiency, reliability and security of the world's electrical grids. The Global Innovation Center includes 100,000 square feet of production space and will help GE meet both current and future product demands as utilities around the world continue to look for ways to improve their energy infrastructures. To support that growth, the facility also incorporates onsite research, test and simulation laboratories giving GE engineers easy access to the tools needed to help utility and industrial customers solve their toughest energy challenges.

Featuring a wide range of advanced customer oriented experiences, including the Grid Explorer which provides an exciting and in-depth look at our advanced power system solutions. Explore and Interact with the product solutions application showcases, and participate in the Advanced training center for customers & technical sales.

Our new facility boasts 100,000 sq.ft of high-tech manufacturing space, has implemented Oracle 11i ERP System and JIT/EDI to major GE suppliers, has integrated ESD control across product floor, and is a LEAN visual factory with showcase displays.

With 160 GE engineers, collaboration with Universities and the Ontario Centre of Excellence, and best-in-class product testing and simulation, our facility will be home to leading edge smart grid and renewables R&D.

LEED silver certification demonstrates our commitment to energy and water efficiency, sustainable development, and indoor environmental quality. GE HealthAhead certification promotes health education, prevention, stress management, nutrition, and physical activity.
