SPO Knee Type Disconnector up to 1200 KV


The Alstom Grid SPO is a vertical break disconnector with a two-piece arm. In the open position the blade sections fold upon themselves in a vertical plane of only 60% of the longitudinal dimension. 

Main Characteristics 

  • Rated voltage from 245 to 1200kV
  • Reliable in adverse operating conditions
  • Two separate galvanized structural steel bases assure high strength and rigid design
  • Much lower centre of gravity of the live part means better performance during earthquakes
  • All bearings and counterbalancing springs are isolated from the main path
  • Supplied or easily retro-fitted with 1 or 2 earthing switches which can also be fitted with induced current switching devices
